For those who prefer to explore the local dining scene, we are also located close to some of the Outer Banks favorite restaurants, from fine dining at Owens to classic beach fare at Sam and Omie’s to burgers and ice cream at Fat Boyz. 

The Tar Heel is located at Milepost 16 in Nags Head, close to Jennette’s Pier and across the bypass from the Soundside Event Site. We are a great choice whether you are in town for a wedding at the pier or for an event like Taste of the Beach or the Seafood Festival.
